Deep Dive Sessions
Deep Dives offer attendees the unique opportunity to spend time in an extended workshop thinking and learning more deeply about a particular topic or skill. Facilitated by an expert trainer, deep dive sessions are a "roll up your sleeves" experience that gives attendees a chance to explore their leadership on a deeper level.
Skills to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion: We are currently finalizing a training on cultural competency that will explore racism as a systemic, institutional problem of power that goes beyond personal prejudice. The session will offer space to be self-reflective about our cultural shaping as individuals and institutions, develop the skills to interrupt old patterns and inequitable practices that limit access and exclude some people from our institutions, and begin to understand how to make decisions based on multiple perspectives where all people can be heard and represented.
Network leadership skills: The nature of leadership is changing as we see more social change efforts taking shape across organizations or without a traditional organizational structure. We are seeking a trainer who can provide a deep dive into the emerging field of "network leadership," which is a field strives to builds skills and capacity in order to empower network leaders to build the relationships, partnerships, and community they need to be successful in their change work.
YNPN strategy session: Spend time working with the National Board, staff, and other chapter leaders on key components of the overall network strategy like the affiliation agreement, the developing advocacy agenda, and how our network can be more effective together. This deep dive will include working time with other chapter leaders that you can use for work-shopping new ideas, getting feedback on your strategic plans, or any other chapter or national-level strategy you'd like to collaborate on.
Innovation Tours offer attendees a chance to get out and see the conference host city - through the eyes of a nonprofiteer. Host organizations open their doors for a site visit to explore the history, culture and nonprofit happenings in their community.
