2017 Conference

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) National Conference and Leaders Institute is an annual event that brings together leaders from across the country for three days of networking, professional development, and chapter collaboration. For the past ten years, the leaders of the national YNPN network have gathered annually to build relationships, learn from each other, and reconnect with YNPN’s vision. The 2017 National Conference and Leaders Institute is where the most passionate and innovative nonprofit professionals will come to take their careers and leadership to the next level.

Atlanta, Georgia has a rich history in the sphere of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The city is the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, the "City Too Busy to Hate," and a place known for decades as the "black mecca" for African-Americans in the United States. However, it also has a dark past of slavery, oppression, and bigotry, and although diversity of all kinds is increasing in the Metro region, there are still many battles left to be won in the fight for equality and justice.

Atlanta and the South are not alone in facing these critical issues of inequality, nor is this history unique to the region. Social change work in the South can not only improve conditions for the region but for the country as a whole, which is why there is no better place than Atlanta to hold the 2017 National Conference & Leaders Institute: Leading Through Change.

2017 Host Chapter: YNPN Atlanta

YNPN National is thrilled to be working alongside YNPN Atlanta to host the 2017 conference.

Since their founding in 2011, YNPN Atlanta has quickly become a force within their community and the network. Their sustained growth in membership has been enhanced by signature programs like their NextGen Breakfast and 30 Under 30 Awards as well as unique networking opportunities that connects their members to the community.  YNPN Atlanta is also the only chapter in the network to manage a grant program, awarding professional development grants to their individual members.  The chapter’s innovative programming, visionary thinking and commitment to creating a strong leadership pipeline in their community and the sector will make YNPN Atlanta an exceptional host for this year’s conference.
